Summary:A positioning method includes: obtaining an approximate location of a target terminal; obtaining a satellite signal carrier-to-noise ratio; transmitting the approximate location to a three-dimensional city model server; receiving three-dimensional building information that is calculated based on the approximate location and that is transmitted by the three-dimensional city model server; calculating a satellite visibility probability of a target satellite based on the approximate location, the three-dimensional building information, and the satellite signal carrier-to-noise ratio, the target satellite being a corresponding satellite from which the target terminal receives the satellite signal, and the satellite visibility probability indicating a probability that the target satellite is in a visible state relative to the target terminal; and calculating positioning information of the target terminal based on the satellite visibility probability and the satellite signal.
