Summary:A virtual desktop enables productivity during device setup. An enrollment request on behalf of a user is received from a computing device associated. The enrollment request includes the user's identity and corresponds to a setup phase of an operating system of the computing device. A deployment configuration assigned to the user is identified based on the user's identity. The deployment configuration includes device configuration information specifying instructions for configuring the computing device and link information specifying a virtual machine provisioned according to the device configuration information. Connection instructions to establish a connection between the computing device and the virtual machine are transmitted to the computing device. The computing device is monitored to determine a completion of the setup phase. Responsive to the completion, a prompt is provided to the virtual machine indicative of the completion of the setup phase.
