Summary: | A motor includes a rotor and a stator provided to surround the rotor. The rotor has a rotor core having a magnet insertion hole and a permanent magnet disposed in the magnet insertion hole and is rotatable about a rotation axis. The stator has a stator core with a tooth facing the rotor, and a coil wound around the tooth. The permanent magnet has a thickness thicker than or equal to 2.1 mm in a direction in which the permanent magnet faces the stator and is magnetized in a direction of the thickness. A minimum gap AG (mm) between the rotor and the stator, a winding number Nt of the coil around the tooth, an overcurrent threshold Ip (A) for a current flowing through the coil, and a lower limit Hct (kA/m) of a coercive force of the permanent magnet satisfy Hct≥0.4×(Ip×Nt/AG)+410. |
