Summary: | Selectively storing and discharging energy at a plurality of sites includes generating a plurality of energy generation scenarios for each site in a plurality of sites. The plurality of energy generation scenarios have different energy generation scenario likelihoods. It further includes generating a plurality of usage scenarios for each site having different usage scenario likelihoods. It further includes generating, for a given site, a plan to selectively store energy in an energy storage device at the given site, discharge energy from the energy storage device, or control when a load at the given site consumes energy based at least in part on a plurality of optimization criteria and on the plurality of energy generation scenarios and usage scenarios. The optimization criteria comprise grid-side criteria and residential-side criteria.Visualizing a future state of an energy system includes receiving, via a user interface, a user selection of a future time. It further includes, based on a forecasted energy production curve and a forecasted energy consumption curve, determining a future state of an energy system at the future time. It further includes presenting a visual representation of the future state of the energy system. |
