Summary: | A system and method for deployment of one or more stents at a bifurcation uses a balloon catheter with distal and proximal guidewire ports that are guided by first and second guidewires. The first and second guidewires are directed into first and second side branches at the bifurcation. The catheter is guided by a combination of the first and second guidewires after inserting the first guidewire through the distal guidewire port and the second guidewire through the proximal guidewire port. The combination of the proximal guidewire port and the second guidewire halts advancement of the catheter and the stent it carries beyond an ostium of the first side branch. Additional stents can be delivered to a second side branch and a main branch using the first and second guidewires without re-positioning of the guidewires. |
