Summary:An olefin-based polymer and a method for preparing the olefin-based polymer are disclosed. The olefin-based polymer has excellent heat-sealing property due to the high proportion of a copolymer, which has many branches and is derived from comonomers. The olefin-based polymer has a density of 0.915 to 0.950 g/cm3, a melt index (I2.16) of 0.5 to 1.5 g/10 min as measured with a load of 2.16 kg at 190° C., and a polydispersity index (Mw/Mn) of 2 to 6.
