Summary:The present technology relates to an information processing device and an information processing method that enable effective the desert greening and ecosystem regeneration using livestock.The information processing device includes an evaluation unit that evaluates a degree of contribution of a herd of grazing livestock to desert greening or ecosystem regeneration based on at least one of a behavior content of the herd and a state of a passing area which is an area through which the herd has passed. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a system for performing desert greening and ecosystem regeneration using livestock.
