Summary:A door for a household cooking appliance includes an outer pane, an inner pane, an intermediate pane arranged between the outer pane and the inner pane, a pane checking facility mounted on the door for rotation about a pivot axis from a starting position into an end position when, the intermediate pane is inserted in a direction of the outer pane, and a locking facility mounted so as to be displaceable on the door from an unlocked state, in which the locking facility is out of engagement with the inner pane, into a locked state, in which the locking facility engages around the inner pane at least in one section. The locking facility is displaceable from the unlocked state into the locked state only when the pane checking facility is located in the end position.
