Summary:Various methods and systems are provided for annotating medical images such as ultrasound images. For example, a method for annotating a medical image includes segmenting a region of interest in the medical image, annotating the medical image by separately adjusting a value of each pixel in the region of interest, and outputting the annotated medical image to a display. As a further example adjusting the value of each pixel may include overlaying the pixel with color, colorizing the pixel based on the value of the pixel, and/or intensifying the value of the pixel.
