Summary:An intraluminal imaging device includes a flexible elongate member configured to be positioned within a body lumen of a patient. An ultrasound imaging assembly is disposed at the distal portion of the flexible elongate member. In some embodiments, a tip member with a protrusion is coupled to the ultrasound imaging assembly. The ultrasound imaging assembly and/or the flexible elongate member includes a recess that that receives the protrusion. In some embodiments, a support member includes a first stand, a second stand, a third stand, and a ridge. A flexible substrate with integrated circuit chips and an ultrasound transducer assembly is positioned around the support member. A filling material and an acoustic backing material are disposed in different spaces defined by the stands and flexible substrate. A tip member includes a groove receiving the ridge.
