Summary:An inductor component includes an element body; and a coil in the element body. The element body includes a metal magnetic powder-containing resin having a resin and metal magnetic powder in the resin. The element body has a rectangular parallelepiped shape having first and second principal surfaces facing each other, and first, second, third and fourth side surfaces connected to the first and second principal surfaces. Each of the first and second principal surfaces has an area larger than an area of each of the first to fourth side surfaces. Each of the first side surface and the first principal surface has one or more recesses, and a deepest recess among the one or more recesses on the first side surface has a maximum depth that is larger than a maximum depth of a deepest recess among the one or more recesses on the first principal surface.
