Summary: | The invention concerns adhesives comprising a polymer network capable of conversion between two different elastic modulus states with essentially no residual stress evolved in conversion between the two different elastic modulus states, wherein the polymer network comprises either or both of (i) poly(2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA) hydrogel and/or a copolymers thereof, and (ii) a shape memory polymer.
