That is, the blood pressure measuring apparatus according to an aspect of the present invention is a blood pressure measuring apparatus for performing blood pressure measurement, the blood pressure measuring apparatus including a notification unit that performs a notification to prompt a user to perform the blood pressure measurement, a time setting unit capable of setting a blood pressure measurement time by an instruction from the user, a storage unit that stores a recommended time period of the blood pressure measurement, and a control unit that performs control to cause the notification unit to start the notification based the blood pressure measurement time set by the time setting unit, and cause the notification unit to stop the notification when the recommend time period passes.
