Summary: | The present invention relates to nucleic acid fragment-encapsulated polymer nanoparticles and a method of preparing the same. The polymer may be a mucoadhesive polymer and specifically chitosan, and the nucleic acid fragment may be polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN). The nucleic acid fragment-encapsulated polymer nanoparticles may be used as an eye drop. Since the nucleic acid fragment-encapsulated polymer nanoparticles is capable of adhering to the mucus in the eyes, nucleic acid fragments inside the nanoparticles can be slowly released into the ocular mucous membrane. In addition, since nucleic acid fragment-encapsulated polymer nanoparticles can exhibit high efficiency in the eyes even with a small dose of drug, patient convenience can be increased or costs can be reduced. |
