Summary:An information handling system may include at least one central processing unit (CPU); and a special-purpose processing unit implementing a particular management interface that is one of a plurality of management interfaces. The information handling system may be configured to: receive management instructions for the special-purpose processing unit, wherein the management instructions are in accordance with a cross-platform management interface different from the particular management interface; translate the management instructions into translated instructions that are in accordance with the particular management interface; and perform management of the special-purpose processing unit by causing the special-purpose processing unit to execute the translated instructions.
