This platform combines a domain specific accelerator for AI with a reconfigurable interconnect to permit a deep neural network to be mapped into the field programmable neural array. The field programmable neural array includes domain specific accelerators that perform inference tasks with higher computing efficiency than central processing units and graphics processing units, approaching that of application-specific integrated circuits designed specifically for AI applications, and a reconfigurable interconnect providing the flexibility and connectivity of a field programmable gate array with lower power consumption.
