Summary:A holder for holding an item in place relative to a hat and a hat having a holder. The holder generally comprises a spring, a platform, and at least one string coupled to both the spring and the platform. The spring is generally disposed within an interior cavity of the crown of the hat while the platform is disposed in front of the exterior surface of the crown, while a string joins the two. The platform can then be pulled away from the crown to receive an object to retain the object to the hat.
