Summary:The invention relates to a method for examining a liquid sample that has a liquid and at least one cell located in the liquid and/or at least one particle located in the liquid, wherein at least one data element containing information about a sample region is determined with the method. The method is characterised in that the data element is supplied to a trained algorithm that generates a result dependent on the data element, and in that a dispensing process comprising the discharging of at least part of the liquid sample depends on the result.
