Summary:This application provides a dynamic bandwidth allocation method and a related device. The method includes: receiving, by a dynamic bandwidth allocation device, bandwidth request messages from bandwidth request devices through at least two access ports of a convergence device, wherein the bandwidth request messages include requested bandwidth information; allocating bandwidth information to the bandwidth request device based on the requested bandwidth information and remaining bandwidth information of an upstream egress port of the convergence device, wherein the remaining bandwidth information is a difference between limited bandwidth information of the upstream egress port and bandwidth information already allocated; and sending a response message to the bandwidth request device through the access port.
