Summary:A portable electronic device includes a first body, a second body, a switching mechanism, a spring and a sliding mechanism. The first body includes a base and an input module slidably disposed on the base. The second body is pivoted to the base of the first body. The switching mechanism is disposed at the input module and is configured to switch an engaging relationship between the input module and the base. The spring is disposed at the base and abuts against the input module. The sliding mechanism includes a rack and a gear set engaged with the rack, wherein the rack is mounted to the input module and the gear set is slidably disposed at the base.
