Summary:Methods and systems for improving the selection of transportation methods are provided herein. An example method includes receiving information associated with a transportation need, ranking a plurality of mobility attributes associated with the transportation need, performing quantitative modeling and multiple-criteria decision making (MCDM) analysis and linear programming using the ranking of the plurality of mobility attributes and available transportation modes, and ranking the available transportation modes for the transportation need in view of results from the linear programming and MCDM analysis.
