The present disclosure achieves the object by providing an anode active material to be used for a battery, wherein the anode active material is a particle in unwoven shape that contains Si fiber, an average particle size D50 of the anode active material is 0.2 μm or more and 3.6 μm or less, and the anode active material is amorphous.
