Summary:An insertion assist device for an endoscope includes a grip, an operation portion, a liquid storage, and a tubular member. The grip includes a channel through an inside of which an insertion portion of the endoscope is inserted. The operation portion is configured to advance the insertion section by moving forward relative to the grip. The liquid storage is provided on an interior portion of the grip and configured to store a liquid. The tubular member is provided on an interior portion or an exterior portion of the insertion portion of the endoscope, is connected to the liquid storage at one end of the tubular member, and is configured to guide the liquid toward another end of the tubular member opposite to said one end.
