Summary:The regulating device (5) according to the invention for an excitation alternator (9) comprises a voltage feedback loop (6) and a temperature feedback loop (15) comprising means for measuring/estimating temperature supplying a current temperature (T), a comparator (18) generating a temperature error (εT) between a maximum permissible temperature (Tmax) and the current temperature, means for inputting a current speed of rotation of the alternator, a control module (19) supplying a percentage of a maximum permissible excitation (rmax) as a function of the temperature error and a speed correction supplied by speed correction means according to a predetermined correction law as a function of the current rotation speed.
