Summary:A software distribution system includes an acquiring unit configured to acquire, from vehicles, error information about an in-vehicle software component having an error; a holding unit configured to hold acquired error information in association with vehicle information of the vehicle from which the error information is acquired; an identifying unit configured to identify an information element common to a plurality of pieces of vehicle information associated with the same error information; and a distribution unit configured to distribute a correction file for correcting the error in the in-vehicle software component to a vehicle group having the identified information element.
