Summary:This application provides a data validation method and apparatus, and a network interface card. A first RNIC validates, by determining whether first data and second data are the same, data stored in a first memory, determines that first data in to-be-transmitted target data is correctly stored in the first memory, and notifies a second RNIC by using an acknowledgement ACK character. Reliability of the ACK sent by the first device to the second device is enhanced. The ACK sent by the first device to the second device may further be used to indicate that the first data in the target data is correctly stored in the first memory. In this case, a direct memory access result of RDMA is more reliable for an upper-layer service application.
