Summary:For ease and modification flexibility in the manufacture of jumpers in a plug connector, according to the invention the housing cover (10) is equipped with a contact carrier (3) which is releasably clipped thereon. The contact carrier (3) can be made in two parts and can have an upper part (1) and a lower part (32). These can be separated from one another and joined together in order to accommodate individual U-shaped contact pins (8, 8′, 8″) for bridging socket contacts (28) of the plug connector or also in order to remove and/or replug said pins. If necessary, the complete contact carrier (3) can also be exchanged for another contact carrier having a different bridge assignment. As a result, the operating state of an electrical system can be individually defined and modified. When the housing cover is open, an external test plug can be plugged in for maintenance purposes. Furthermore, the contact carrier (3) can have a certain mechanical "play" for tolerance compensation in the housing cover (10) so that the contact pins (8, 8′, 8″) and the contact carrier (3) are not subjected to mechanical stresses during opening and closing of the housing cover (10).
