Summary:A method and system for enabling an automated vehicular navigational improvement is provided. The method includes monitoring traffic control devices located within a specified perimeter surrounding a vehicle and traffic control devices. Traffic control device data defining operational characteristics of the traffic control devices is retrieved and a distance between the vehicle a traffic control device is determined. Status data indicating a control status of the traffic control device and data defining distances and associated travel speeds of additional vehicles located within said perimeter are retrieved and analyzed. A predicted arrival time of the vehicle and predicted control status the traffic control device is determined and a resulting control command alert associated with driving functions of the vehicle.
