The layer structure includes at least one fiber structure consisting of a fiber material and of a thermoplastic binding agent, and at least one aluminum layer made of aluminum or of an aluminum alloy. At least one aluminum layer of the layer structure has a stiffening structure and/or a recess. The disclosure further relates to a method for producing such a structural component and to uses therefor.
