Summary:The invention provides an apparatus, system and method for the comparison between songs to analyse how similar each song is to the next using a new system of classification. A new and improved method and apparatus for the weighting of these comparable variables between songs in order to find the best objective criteria for finding a likeness between songs is disclosed. The time complexity associated with the computation of the optimal path for smoothing a playlist of songs is substantially reduced using the system of classification.
