Summary:A composition useful as an adhesive for binding a fabric, e.g., a cotton cloth, to a rubber substrate, e.g., a base sheet comprising EPDM, is described, the composition comprising at least the following: (A) A functionalized, halogenated olefin-based polymer having a melt index (12, 190° C./2.16) greater than, or equal, to 30 grams per 10 minutes (g/10 min); (B) A tackifier; and/or (B′) An olefin-based polymer having a density from 0.855 to 0.900 grams per cubic centimeter (g/cc) and a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of less than, or equal to, 60,000 grams per mole.
