Summary:An electronic device is provided which includes a communication interface configured to support a plurality of communication schemes, and a processor configured to receive, through the communication interface, a request message for a video call between the electronic device and a first external electronic device from a second external electronic device, select a first wireless communication scheme to be used for a communication connection for the video call from among the plurality of communication schemes, identify connection information allocated to the electronic device by a third external electronic device connected to the electronic device, using the first wireless communication scheme, and control the communication interface to transmit, to the second external electronic device, a response message in response to the request message such that at least part of the connection information is used for establishing the communication connection.
