Summary:The embodiments of the application disclose an intelligent terminal power consumption control method and an electronic device. The method includes: enabling a terminal to enter an early suspend state when a first preset operation is detected or no operation is detected within a preset time during a resume state of the terminal; and reducing CPU frequency when it is detected that the terminal is not being charged during the early suspend state of the terminal. Thus, the CPU frequency is reduced when an intelligent terminal enters the early suspend state, thereby reducing power consumption, prolonging standby time and enhancing user experience.
