The locking element is configured to allow blocking the trigger of the firearm. A method for locking a magazine to a firearm and preventing accidental discharge is disclosed. The method comprises providing a cover, that has a shape compatible with the magazine housing, providing a base, covering a locking mechanism, providing a locking element, and inserting the cover into the magazine housing, wherein the locking element is configured to allow blocking the trigger.
