Summary:A display device includes a display panel which displays an image with light, the display panel including a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and an image display layer disposed between the first and second substrates; a backlight unit which generates and provides the light to the display panel; and a bottom chassis facing the first substrate to dispose the second substrate therebetween and to define an inner space with the first substrate. The image display layer, the second substrate, and the backlight unit are accommodated in the inner space defined by the first substrate and the bottom chassis.
