Summary: | The present invention relates to drug targets for Burkholderia pseudomallei. The invention provides a crystalline polypeptide derived from Burkholderia pseudomallei comprising the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1. Also provided are methods for co-crystallizing a binary enoyl-acyl carrier protein reductase (FabI) with a potential inhibitor of an FabI activity and for identifying an inhibitor of an activity of enoyl-acyl carrier protein reductase (FabI). A representative example of such a crystalline structure is a BpmFabI:AFN-1252 complex. |
