Summary: | There is provided an electrode for a lithium secondary battery. The electrode include a current collector; nanoparticles distributed on a surface of the current collector, each of the nanoparticles including a transition metal or an oxide of the transition metal; and an active material layer disposed on a surface of the current collector having the nanoparticles distributed thereon.
