Summary:The present invention provides aqueous compositions useful in making traffic markings having early dirt pickup resistance which comprise one or more vinyl or acrylic emulsion polymers having a measured glass transition temperature (measured Tg) of from −10 to 60° C., preferably 20° C. or higher, (ii) from 3 to 15 wt. %, or, preferably, from 6 to 12 wt. %, as solids based on total polymer solids, of one or more polyurethane dispersions (PUD), (iii) one or more coalescent having a normal boiling point of from 150 to 300° C., and (iv) one or more fillers, extenders and/or pigments, preferably an opacifier pigment and one or more extenders, wherein the composition has a percent pigment volume concentration (% PVC) of from 45 to 80%, preferably from 45 to 65%.
