METHOD OF CONTROLLING USER INPUT AND APPARATUS TO WHICH THE METHOD IS APPLIED

A method of moving a pointer of an electronic device is provided. The method includes identifying a user input coordinates, identifying an object area corresponding to the user input coordinates, and actively moving and displaying the pointer in the object area using a contour map.
