Summary:An image processing apparatus configured to process captured images captured by an image capturing apparatus configured to simultaneously capture a plurality of images for generating a panoramic image or a generated image generated from the captured images includes a judgment unit configured to judge whether an image of a support member supporting the image capturing apparatus exists in a predetermined range in the captured images or the generated image, and a notification unit configured to notify, based on a result of the judgment by the judgment unit, a user of guidance information for changing a viewpoint position from which the image capturing apparatus captures images, wherein in a case where a feature amount indicating the support member is detected in a predetermined region in the captured images or the generated image, the judgment unit judges that an image of the support member exits in the predetermined range.
