Summary: | Embodiments described herein automatically detect a power state of an electronic device and perform a control scheme based thereon. For example, a control device determines that an electronic device is to be in a desired power state. A socket device coupled to the electronic device determines an amount of current or power being provided to the electronic device and transmits an indication of the amount of current or power or a determined power state to the control device. Based on the indication, the control device determines the current power state of the electronic device. If the control device determines that the current power state is not the desired power state, the control device transmits a signal to the electronic device, which causes it to transition to the desired power state. |
