Summary:A profiled reinforcement section arranged in the hollow area of a sill of a motor vehicle has at least one additional profiled reinforcement section. At least one of an arrangement, shape, length, material and connection of the profiled reinforcement sections is configured such that the end faces of the profiled reinforcement sections deform or destroy a motor vehicle front wheel which is moving in the direction of a passenger compartment as a result of an impact, together with the components associated with the wheel, in the event of a correspondingly high impact energy of the respective wheel against the respective front end of the respective sill.
