Summary:A method for making a skin care composition by identifying connections between cosmetic agents and genes associated with one or more skin aging conditions. The method includes accessing a plurality of instances and at least one skin aging gene expression signature, comparing the at least one skin aging gene expression signature to the plurality of the instances, assigning a connectivity score to each instance based on the comparison and incorporating the cosmetic agent into a skin care composition when the connectivity score of the instance associated with the cosmetic agent has a negative correlation.
