Summary:A personal and wearable device includes a strap, which is worn by the user, and a remote controller, which is held by a guardian or a teacher. The strap includes a built-in heart rate monitor, a built-in accelerometer and a built-in vibration motor, wherein the heart rate monitor and accelerometer are used to determine the current state of the child in real time. The accelerometer is used to monitor any sudden or repeated actions of the arms or limbs of the user in order to determine whether the user is undergoing an outburst based off the magnitude of the measured acceleration in the arm; and the vibration motor may generate vibrations, which are adjustable in strength via the remote controller. The device is compact in size and convenient to carry, and thus provides a realistic solution for the integration of autistic persons into mainstream schools, etc.
