Summary:An object of the present invention is to provide a sample nucleic acid for single nucleotide polymorphism detection which is for use in a simple method for quickly detecting a single nucleotide polymorphism, PCR primers for preparation of a sample for single nucleotide polymorphism detection, and a sample for single nucleotide polymorphism detection which is for use in ion exchange chromatography analysis. The present invention provides a sample nucleic acid for single nucleotide polymorphism detection having the following features: (a) a full chain length of 200 bp or less; (b) a sequence (a tag sequence) incompletely complementary to a template DNA at the 5′ or 3′ end; and (c) a 10 bp or less difference in chain length from a sample nucleic acid to be compared with to determine the presence of a single nucleotide polymorphism.
