Summary: | A composite material structure and a method for making the composite material structure are provided. The composite material structure includes a first stack of fiber panels arranged with fibers parallel to a loading axis to accommodate a first tension load in a first plane. The composite material structure includes a second stack of fiber panels arranged with fibers parallel to the loading axis to accommodate a second tension load in a second plane. The composite material structure includes a pre-consolidated fabric structure between the first and the second stack arranged with fibers plied perpendicular to the fibers of the first stack of fiber panels and perpendicular to the fibers of the second stack of fiber panels, the fibers further being orthogonal to the loading axis. |
