Summary:A rotary electric machine according to the present invention includes a stator including a stator core and stator coils, a rotor provided rotatably with a gap to the stator, a housing that stores the stator and the rotor, a fan that circulates air inside the housing through the gap in the housing, a heat exchanger that cools the air circulated by the fan, and an air guiding plate including an air guiding route formed therein for guiding the air cooled by the heat exchanger such that the cooled air flows into the gap without coming into contact with the stator coils.
