Summary:A method to control coolant flow through an engine, especially for a motor vehicle, wherein the coolant is heated by the engine and cooled by a radiator and the coolant flow depends on the number of rotations of the engine. To prevents cavitations and high pressures on heat exchangers and to allow an optimal coolant flow, a magnetic field for controlling magneto rheological fluid to regulate the coolant flow is used.
