Summary:A moving image decoding method for decoding encoded data of an image partitioned into a plurality of blocks includes determining a predicted motion vector corresponding to a motion vector of a block to be decoded by using motion vector information, the motion vector information including a motion vector of an already-decoded block and reference destination information designating a reference destination of the motion vector of the already-decoded block; controlling a decoding process of the motion vector of the block to be decoded using the predicted motion vector depending on whether the reference destination information designating the reference destination of the motion vector designates an inter-view reference image; and decoding the motion vector of the block to be decoded with the controlled decoding process.
