Summary:A negative wound pressure therapy apparatus includes a wound dressing for defining a reservoir over a wound in which a negative pressure may be maintained by forming a substantially fluid-tight seal around wound tissue. The apparatus also includes a fluid conduit in fluid communication with the reservoir. The fluid conduit defines a fluid flow path for carrying fluids from the reservoir. The apparatus also includes a vacuum source in fluid communication with the fluid conduit. The vacuum source is suitable for providing an appropriate negative pressure to the reservoir to stimulate healing of the wound. The apparatus also includes at least one biomedical electrode mounted with respect to the wound dressing for transmitting electrical energy to stimulate healing of the wound tissue.
